Intermountain Humane Planned Pethood International

The Intermountain Humane Society

Rescuing and helping animals in need has always been a top priority at Planned Pethood International. So when we opened our new clinic in Conifer last year, we were pleased to acquire the Intermountain Humane Society in Pine. Although PPI and IMH are now operating as one non-profit, the mission of IMH hasn’t changed: to provide shelter for displaced, abandoned, and homeless pets until they find new homes. We invite you to join our mission and help us adopt, donate, and/or volunteer. And please don’t hesitate to reach out to us for your pet’s needs or to learn more about Intermountain Humane and the work we do.

PPI / IMH is a 501(c)(3) Please Donate Here

Help Us Build a New Beginning for Homeless Animals

The New Intermountain Humane Shelter at Planned Pethood International

Dr. Jeff Young has spent over 30 years fighting for animals that the world too often forgets. Through his work at Planned Pethood International, he's treated tens of thousands of animals, often at little or no cost to their families. His philosophy is simple: every life matters, and every animal deserves a chance.
Now, we're asking you to be part of something bigger.

Planned Pethood International has become one with Intermountain Humane, and Dr Jeff is now building a new IMH shelter at the site of PPI. This will be more than just a shelter—it will be a safe haven for neglected, abandoned, and abused animals who deserve better. But to make it a reality, we need your help.

We're raising $300,000 to construct a modern, fully equipped shelter facility that will provide:
* Safe, climate-controlled housing for dogs and cats
* On-site veterinary care through Dr. Jeff's existing clinic
* Dedicated adoption areas to help animals find their forever homes
* Spaces for behavioral support and rehabilitation, because some wounds aren't visible
This new facility will allow us to rescue, treat, and re-home hundreds of more animals every year, many of whom wouldn't survive without intervention. These aren't just pets—they're survivors of neglect, trauma, and abandonment. And they deserve a chance.

Why Your Donation Matters

We're not building this to look fancy. We're building it to function-with smart design, real-world needs in mind, and the same no-nonsense philosophy that Dr. Jeff brings to his veterinary work. Every dollar you donate goes directly to construction costs, supplies, and the critical infrastructure needed to house, heal, and re-home animals in need.
* $25 helps buy food, blankets, and toys for a rescued pet
* $100 contributes toward building materials and equipment
* $500 funds a full medical workup and treatment for a new intake
* $1,000+ helps build entire kennels and cat enclosures

No donation is too small-and every single one helps get us closer to our $300,000 goal.

Be Part of Something That Lasts

Animal lovers, fans of Dr. Jeff: Rocky Mountain Vet, and supporters of humane care: you've always shown up when it mattered. Now's the time to show up again! This shelter will save lives for years to come, and it will stand as a symbol of what compassion, grit, and community support can accomplish.

Donate today. Help us build the future these animals deserve.  Together, we can give them not just shelter...but a second chance.
